Getting a Travel Insurance Quote

To get a quote, go to tid.com.au, hit ‘Get a Quote’ and follow the prompts. It is important that you list all the countries you are travelling to, excluding any stopovers of up to 2 nights. You can type the country or select it from the drop down list. If your plans aren’t finalised and you don’t know every country you’re going to, ensure you list the countries you know you will be travelling to. If you're cruising around Australia, select 'Australian waters'; we've added other destination options for cruisers, too. Then add your travel dates and the ages of the adults travelling on your policy. Then click on ‘Get a Quote’ and your price will be displayed on the next page.

To get a quote, you don’t need to add the ages of your dependent children as they are automatically covered under your policy if they are under 21, not in full time employment and travelling with you on the majority of the trip. You do need to add them on the ‘Who’s going? / details’ page when you’re ready to purchase.

If you need to add any high value luggage items, choose your policy excess, select cover for ski/snow sports, or increase your rental vehicle insurance excess, you can do this after selecting the plan that best suits you. Please note, the rental vehicle insurance excess benefit is not available on The Basics plan.

You will also have the opportunity to give back to one of the projects we support; just select an amount to donate.

Full terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions are available in the PDS.
